“Its a program that I developed with a friend in San Francisco and its called the Verbasizer. It will take a sentence and I will divide it up to columns, and when I got 20-25 different sentences, I will set it to randomize, and it will take these sentences and cut in between them all, picking out choosing different different words from different rows or columns. What you end up getting is a kaleidoscope of different meanings, topics, nouns and verbs, all slamming into each other. Some of the things I will empathize with terrific, and sometimes I’ll find that even 4 words in here might inspire me and set me off on writing a song on a certain topic“
The Verbasizer is basically a random sentence generator, feeding off from the input you give it. First developed by David Bowie and his friend, it became one of the major sources of inspiration for the artist. Hopefully the output it generates will inspire you in your artistic journey as well.
